My Everyday On-the-go Essentials!

Hello! You know how it is, those days when you're out all day with a huge, full (and heavy) bag with barely anytime to relax. Or is that just me? I always seem to try and pack everything into bag just in case. You can never be too prepared! Like today, i was so organised and took an umbrella with me for it to be hot and sunny -.- I was not happy. The only time i take a brolly out!

So yeah, today i thought i'd show you my everyday beauty essentials so you still have everything you need to keep yourself looking beautiful but it won't take up loads of space in your bag!

Photobucket

Bobby pins, slides, clips, whatever you call them are so handy to keep with you! You can get them from any supermarket or drugstore for so cheap (mine are from b&m) and they're great for getting hair away from your face, clipping hair back and taming stray pieces. And obviously a bobble incase of a hair nightmare a.k.a. wind and rain!

Mac blot powder! For me this a total must as i have oily skin, it just gets rid of shine so easily and keeps it at bay for a little longer (my little miractle product). And i just think powders are great for everyone to keep foundation lasting all day long and touching up throughout the day. So any you like will do. I love this especially because it has a mirror, so no need for an extra mirror! My little kabuki brush from Bourjois comes in so handy as it's so little and fits in the pocket in y
our bag, perfect for applying the powder or blending in foundation/concealer and sometimes buffing in bronzer if needs be. It's so cute too and really dense.

Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer is for me just a smaller, easier way of carrying foundation. I use this to top up any area's where foundation may have come off to keep me looking fresh.

LIPSTICK! Now i know all you bbloggers are with me on this one. I normally have a few with me to be honest but Revlon lip butters are ones i like to definitely have on me. So nourishing and moistursing yet add colour at the same time.

Last but not least, moisturiser. Is something i like to keep on hand for dry hands, legs, any little area's on the face. Flakey skin isn't something i like. So something like Nivea is good as you can use it everywhere!

What are your everyday essentials you keep in your bag? Anything i missed out?

Collection 2000 Cream Puff - 'Cotton Candy'!

Today i have one of my favourite lip colours to show you and it's one of my most used lip products. I never thought i'd love this Collection 2000 Lip Cream as much as i actually do, it's one i tend to reach for when in a hurry and know it won't let me down. It's such a steal costing only £2.99.

I have the shade 'Cotton Candy' which is a lovely mauve, pink! You can see me wearing it here.

Essentially these are what it says on the picture above - 'Velvety soft, matt finish, lip creams'. You can apply one layer for a nice wash of colour or apply another for an opaque finish! They go on so smoothly (although a little streaky at times) and the doe foot applicator making precise application very easy.

Matte lovers will absolutely love this. It dries completely matte, not one hint of shine and lasts on the lips like a stain. It's very long lasting so one for those who don't like topping up! Although it's not too good if you eat/drink it will make it patchy so you will need to patch it up :)

But, it's a gorgeous pink colour - very flattering and doesn't require any hard work! So a winner in my eyes.

What do you think of these lip creams? Do you want to try them?

Makeup Monday: Glowing Skin & Smokey Eyes!

Hello all! I had to share this look with you today as i fell in love with the eyes and lips! This lip colour  has been a favourite of mine ever since i first got it and it lasts for ages on the lips too. It's such a gorgeous bright pink but it has a dusky twist so it's not too in your face. Definitely a favourite of mine, a slick of lipgloss on top looks pretty too!

Face
17 Miracle Matte Primer (t-zone)
YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation (light layer all over)
Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation (buffed all over to set)
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (under eyes, around nose)
No7 Skin Illuminator in 'Peach' (centre of nose, cheekbones, browbone)
Nars 'Casino' Bronzer (hollows of cheeks, side of nose, jawline)

Eyes
MAC Paint Pot 'Groundwork' (base)
MUA Undressed Palette - Shade 1 (lid/inner corners) Shade 10 (crease) Shade 11 (used as eyeliner)
Une Skin Glow Pencil G02 (lower lashline)
Avon Super Shock Mascara
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil 'Dark Brown'

Lips
Collection 2000 Cream Puff 'Cotton Candy'

I've been loving dewy skin a lot recently but having really oily skin doesn't make it easy - i look more grease ball than glowing goddess. This combination (YSL & Laura Mercier) gave me the perfect glow for the first few hours but by end of the night had melted off my face :( It's such a shame as i really wanted to like the new YSL foundation but it only lasts around 3/4 hours on me before i look a mess /: The No7 Skin Illuminator is gorgeous golden highlighter that adds a glow and lasts all day/night!

I have found the perfect dewy, base for oily skin though so keep an eye out for that ;)

What do you think? Do you prefer more of a dewy look?
What products do you like to give you a glow?

Makeup Monday: A little bit of lilac.

Photobucket

Hello! Just a quick face for you today. This is the sort of makeup i'd wear day-to-day in my everyday life - nothing fancy.

The foundation i'm wearing is MAC's Select SPF 15 foundation and to be honest, it's really not one that i'm keen on. I know lots of people do like it but on my oily skin the lasting power is rather poop and it's just a pain needing to blot/powder every two minutes. I'm literally just reaching the last remains of this foundation and i'm pretty glad! It's got a light coverage which could be built a little bit and it's quite creamy so i think it'd be good for dry/normal skin types. The empty bottle is going in my 'back to Mac' stash!

Apart from that, i'm not wearing too much makeup! Just my trusty Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer to cover up my dark circles and spots. I used MUA Bronzer 'Shade 1' to contour/bronze and Mac's Fleur Power blush on my cheeks - this was my first ever Mac blusher a long time ago and it's still going strong, it doesn't seem to be going down! I used my favourite mascara combination (which you can find here) and added a slick of my Lacura lipstick in 'Pink Rose' (expect to see a full review soon, it's such a lovely pinky/lilac shade!).

Anyway, what do you think? Do you go for a more natural look day-to-day?

Makeup Monday: Pretty in Pink.

Hello everyone! And a super big hello (and thankyou) to the new followers! It seems like it's going up and up everyday which obviously means a lot :)

I just nipped into Manchester on this particurlar day for my first session of laser hair removal. I think i'll do a full post on my experience when the 6 courses are over? It'll be more beneficial that way. So far though, i have had a test patch done and my first full area session and it doesn't hurt atall, it just feels warm. Although, each session the intestity of the laser will increase so i expect it'll hurt at some point - who knows? If you've had it done, let me know please but try not to scare me too much.

Benefit The Porefessional
MAC Select Foundation
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
MAC Studio Fix Powder (few shades too dark as bronzer)
Natural Collection 'Peach Melba' Blusher
MAC Blot Powder

MAC 'Groundwork' Paint Pot (lid)
MAC 'Brown down' Eyeshadow (crease)
MAC 'Blacktrack' Gel Eyeliner
George Lash X-tend Mascara
Rimmel 'Black brown' Eyebrow Pencil
Lips
MAC 'Please Me' Lipstick

MAC's Please Me lipstick has by far become my favourite and most used recently. It's such a perfect baby pink - not too light! It really is the perfect pink in my eyes. I find myself reaching for this constantly and it's a matte formula so it lasts ages on the lips (win!)
Does anyone fancy seeing a MAC lipstick collection post? I only have four at the moment and thought it'd be better to have them all in one post than separate (LET ME KNOW).

Anyways, what are you all up to today? Anything good? It's a bit miserable up in Manchester so i just have my head stuck in 50 Shades of Grey - it's soo addictive!

p.s. a huge THANKYOU to Sophia (tattooedtealady) for suggesting the title 'Pretty in pink' - my mind has gone blank today and i couldn't think of a name to save my life. She suggested this name and i stole it straight away ahaa!

Makeup Monday: 'Go To' Smokey Eye!

Hello everyone!

You know how people have 'their' smokey eye - their fail safe night time eye that they wear every time they go out. Well i never had one (until now), i just used to go with the flow and see what happened, sometimes i'd wear eyeshadow other times i wouldn't. One thing for sure is, i'd always wear false eyelashes - i just don't feel complete without them on!

But when i went out last weekend, i had to wear my new MAC eyeshadow, obviously. And i came up with this combination - i just love it sooo much and it's so simple to do. I have finally found my smokey eye (the one i am going to wear everywhere i go and soon get bored of it - oops).

Close up of the eye but from another day with no false lashes!
Face - MAC Matchmaster Foundation, Collection 200 Lasting Perfection Concealer, MAC Blot Powder, MUA Bronzer, MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 1 (highlight), Natural Collection Peach Melba Blusher.

Eyes - MAC 'Club' Eyeshadow (eyelid), MAC 'Sketch' Eyeshadow (crease & lower lashline), MAC 'Blacktack' Fluid-line (eyeliner), Primark False Eyelashes.

Lips - MAC 'Please Me' Lipstick

Eeek, can you see why i love this eyeshadow combination or is it just me?
'Club' is the latest addition to my MAC palette (two more to go) and i don't regret buying it one little bit. Lots of bloggers/youtubers love this shade and i can see why, i definitely recommend picking it up! 'Club' is duo-chrome and leans different shades in different lights - one of them being purple so it blends in perfectly well with 'Sketch' which is a deep purple.

This definitely now my 'go to' going out makeup. I just can't get enough!

Whats your 'go to' look when you go out?

Makeup Monday: Daytime Smokey Eye.

Hello, i have another makeup look for  you today. I'm gonna keep posting these every monday let me know what you all think and if people like it i will keep going if not, well i won't..

Photobucket
So above are all the products i used (apart from my setting powder - forgot that oops) so keep reading to see what look i created. I literally received my MUA palette mid-makeup and obviously had to put it into use ;)
Photobucket

Base - Benefit Porefessional on nose, chin and centre of forehead. Garnier BB Cream applied all over. Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer under eyes , around nose. MUA bronzer as contour in hollow of cheekbones. MAC Fleur Power blush on apples of cheeks. All set with MAC Blot Powder and MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural.

Eyes - MUA 'Undressed' palette - Shade 1 (eyelid and highlight), Shades 10/11 (crease and lower lashline) and Shade 12 (eyeliner). George Asda 'Lash Xtend' Mascara.

Lips - Revlon lip butter 'Berry Smoothie'.

Eeee, anyway i hope you like look. I quite like it myself actually, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin atall but looks smart and it doesn't take that long to do. I reviewed the Garnier BB cream (here) and to put it bluntly - hated it. But the Porefessional helps it last that little bit longer and set with powder it lasts long enough so i'm enjoying using it up. I also reviewed/swatched the 'Undressed' palette here if you fancy a more in depth look at it!

Bye for now..
