Christmas Partaaay Outfit: Goin' Midi!

Hello all! Would just like say a big, fat sorry for my lack of posting this month. I must admit i've been super busy with my work, buying/sorting christmas presents, having a social life and exercising. I've been very lazy neglecting my blog choosing to snuggle up with my fleece in christmas socks at times. So, a merry christmas everyone and expect more regular posts from me from now (lots of outfits!).

Last Saturday i finally lost my Hard Rock Cafe virginity - and my god it was bloody good. I went for the California Chicken Club Sandwich and it was pure deliciousness. I wore something a bit new for me, a midi skirt. I had the impression i would look terrible in a midi skirt because of my height but i actually love it and want it to wear it everywhere, everyday! I plan to wear it again tomorrow in a more casual day so expect a nice little post on that.

Top - Motel Rocks / Skirt - Primark (£11 - bargain huh?!)Clutch - Primark / Boots - New Look

I really do love this outfit. I did swap the boots for heels but i just think the skirt looks fab with anything. Stupidly, i don't wear this top as often as i should, the back detailing is so appropriate for a night out as it shows skin with being too much.

Have you got dressed up recently? What do you think of the 'midi trend' - yay or nay?

Outfit: Different shades of grey..

Hello all! So i realised i haven't posted an outfit in quite a long while - which is unlike me. Now the sun has finally decided to come in England (temporarily, of course) and we have some sort of 'Summer'. I did what most Brits do and got me legs out!!

Vest Top - H&M
Skirt - Primark

I love wearing outfits like this - simple and comfy! These skater style skirts are just heaven in my eyes as you can wear them all year round, day and night. I got this one from Primark about a week ago and they had a few other colours (which i need to get my hands on!). In my eyes you can't  have too many plain, loose skirts - they just go with everything, and for £6 they are a bargain!
I've also been loving my H&M collar even though members of my family tell me it looks like a dog collar, charmin'. What do you think?

Also you can now - Follow my blog with Bloglovin :)

Outfit: Playful Summer!

Hey! I'm not sure playful summer is the correct title as we haven't had much of a summer this year in the UK although the weather is picking up now (yay!). The weather in Manchester at the moment is just so cloudy - so it's hot but with no sun so it's really humid. However, when the sun comes out it's gorgeous!

On Thursday i went out for my friends birthday we had a lovely meal and i finished it off with some caramel cookie and malteaser icecream ;) yummy but so filling! I wore my new playsuit which i shown you in my london haul. It's the first time i wore it out and got a few compliments which is nice, i definitely can't wait to wear it more and more!

I'd like to take this moment to explain the bright pink doors. My mum thought it'd be nice to bring some colour to the garden and i couldn't agree more! At first i wasn't keen on bright pink doors but it actually looks pretty funky in those outfit shots. The garden looks much more cheerful and summery now, no more boring brown - i do really like it!  What do you think?

London Trip - Three days, three outfits!

I realise i haven't posted any fashion/outfit posts in a while. I always run out of time, forget to take the pictures or have slopped food down me before i have chance! This really is story of my life. I have so many outfits i want to share with you so hopefully you will be bombarded with those soon...

You'll all probably know from my haul but, the boyfriend and i took a three day trip to London -shopping, a little sight-seeing and lots of eating out. I decided to put all three outfits in one post like a little 'look book'.

DAY 1.
The first day was our 'sight seeing' day - we went on the London Eye, did the London Dungeons had a wonder down the Thames and basically wandered everywhere!

Photobucket
Dress - H&M
Parka - New Look
Necklace - Primark

DAY 2
This day was our 'shopping day' - we had a huge walk down Oxford Street then to Harrods (talk about tiring) and had to get a cab back to the hotel in fear of our legs collapsing aha! We then went to see 'We Will Rock You' at the theatre which was amazing - by far the best show i've ever seen. Here is what i wore to the theatre, in the day i wore my Topshop Leigh jeans instead.

Peplum Top - H&M (also worn here)
Blazer - Primark
Leather Jacket - Zara
Disco Pants Dupe - Very - Love Label
Heeled Chelsea Boots - River Island
Necklace - Primark

DAY 3
Unfortunately this was our last day in London which meant we had a quick run around Covent Garden and Oxford Street to get a final few bits before checking out of our hotel and making our way to Camden. Suitcases in hand. Oh god, it was awful - rain, suitcases & markets = disaster. It wasn't fun atall :( We ended up sat in Costa Coffee for hours with a huge latte and brownies to pass time.

Dress - Topshop (also worn here)
Necklace - Topman
Parka - New Look
Tights, Umbrella and Shoes - Primark

Well there we are, three days, three outfits! I must admit those Primark dollies are the most uncomfiest shoes i have ever wore in my entire life. They are now safely thrown into the bin.
We had a great time in London - despite getting lost a few times but, we got the hang of it by the time we were going home ;)

Outfit: By Vanese (Guest Post).

Today i have a guest post from the lovely Vanese as i'm currently on the train to LONDON (woohoo)! I am a huge follower of Vanese's blog and speak to her a lot on twitter - she is such a nice girl and i did a guest post on her blog a little while back (here). I'm so glad she decided to return the favour! So, here it is..

Hey you lovely lot,

I'm really delighted that Nadia asked me to do a takeover post for her while she's away in London. I'm Vanese, I'm 17 and run a blog called Vanzthemachinee. My blog consists of posts from fashion, beauty & lifestyle. My blog is filled with a mix of posts so if that's your type of thing then get following. ;) *Wow, I'm plugging myself while doing a guest post. Badass.*

I'm a Media Studies student in my first year of sixth form. I'm lucky because my school specialises in performing arts so we've always got singers and special events on. On Tuesday I was lucky enough to be able to attend my schools fashion show that they hold every year to show off the amazing work done by Year 11, Year 12 & 13 fashion students. A lot of my friends were involved in the show so I was seriously so excited to not just watch it but see the breathtaking work my friends have been apart of in creating.

Clearly this wasn't London, Paris or New York fashion week but I felt that I still needed to dress to impress. ;) Definitely a little awkward when people started turning up in jeans and a t-shirt but you can never be too over dressed, right? ;) I had such a lovely evening enjoying the show with my twin sister Ally (http://strawberries-taste-how-lips-do.blogspot.co.uk/) and one of my closest friends Katia. As you can see in the pictures I wore a coral dress, leggings, a blue cardigan and Chelsea boots. I felt so comfortable and surprisingly very confident in my outfit.
Photobucket
  Coral Dress - Store 21 £5.99
Blue Cardigan - Primark £10.00
Leggings - Primark £3.99
Chelsea Boots - Fashion Union £25.00

The dress was seriously such a bargain. Also, the fact that the belt just goes so perfectly with it is great. The detail on the back of the dress has to be my favourite part of it. I know it isn't that big but going out with my back showing like that is quite a big step for me so whenever I do build up my confidence I'll stop hiding the back of it over cardigans and jackets. If you've seen any of my posts on my blog you'll see that I over wear these boots way too much,  but to be honest I love them too much to even care. I got the blue cardigan from Primark a few months back and it seriously has been so warm and comfortable to wear out. I'm actually quite surprised that this was a comfortable and warm outfit because the weather has just been awful. Where's the sun gone? :(

I hope you've enjoyed this post and thank you again to the lovely Nadia for letting me do a post on her awesome blog. :D

Outfit: Next Supporters Scarf!

I have another fashion post for you today (getting good at these aren't i), this time it's something a little different! Today is all about one specific item... The Next Supporters Scarf!

In the words of Next: "The scarves have been designed by Next as part of their support for London 2012 and are the must have item of the summer! (All profits from the sale of the scarves will be donated to the British Olympic Association - helping British Olympic and Paralympic athletes deliver
their best performance at London 2012 and beyond.)"

I think this is such a great way of supporting our nation in the Olympics. Not only does it look good, everyone can get one and the money is going to good a cause too - what more could you ask for?
There are two scarves - a 'Team GB' scarf and a 'Paralympic GB Team' scarf both available in large or small - along with a selection of other things available here.

I have the Paralympic scarf and this is how i wore it...

Scarf - Next*
Blazer - Primark
Top - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Soyoushoes

I really do love this look and i will be rocking it when i come down to London just before the olympics in July with a slick of red lippy - nothing wrong with getting into the the Team GB Spirit! ;)

Don't you just love it? It's so wearable and i think it looks great with the maroon jeans (sticking with the red, white and blue theme) but, it also kept me very warm! Winter must have, maybe. There are soo many ways of using/wearing this scarf e.g. blanket, flag/banner, headband, top, sarong, cover up! So many ways, it's really up to you, can you think of any more?  I know i've already had it wrapped round my head and tied it round my bag too.

Bag - Primark

Anyway what do you think of this scarf? Will you be purchasing your self one? I can't wait to wear it with more things!

Oh, so if you'd like to join in the 'Wear it, Wave it & Win' campaign then click on this link here to find out all about it :)

Outfit: Business & Pleasure.

Another outfit post for you all today!

I wanted to share this lovely new dress i purchased from Topshop last week. I'm really into basics at the moment, i want things that will go with everything rather than fancy dresses that aren't versatile! This dress was £20 and is available in black and cream too - it's so flattering and looks so smart - i love it!
I'm also wearing my primark blazer (again). I seriously can't take it off :|

Excuse the indoor pictures - i was not standing outside in the pouring rain!! The weather was horrid.

Dress - Topshop
Blazer - Primark
Boots - River Island
Chain - Topman
Lipstick - MAC Viva Glam Nicki

Hope you like, i feel so smart in this outfit, especially with the sounds of the heels clicking when i walk.  The dress reminds me of something Kim Kardashian or Kate Middleton would wear - or is that just me? What do you think?

Oh and my boyfriend came up with the name 'Business & Pleasure' because he thinks i look 'business-y' when really i was going to friends for a few drinks haahaa. There's nothing wrong with looking smart is there? ;)

Outfit: Mint & Lace!

Hello, i have another outfit for you today and another one lined up! I hope you're enjoying the mix of fashion & beauty -  i'm really trying to take more outfit photo's when i have the time (and when i look half decent!).

We've had a bit of a heatwave in England recently which i have been LOVING, absolutely loving! It's sort of made up for the fact i'm not going on a summer holiday this year, so i've been making the most of it and sunbathing. And i even used suncream which is unusual for me as i very rarely use it, but i'd rather protect my skin whilst i can!

Anyway, i wore this to my final exam - woohoo - so expect more regular posts again! Then i went on a small shopping spree in Manchester but expect that in future posts...

I'll start off by confessing this whole outfit (apart from the watch) is all from PRIMARK! Yes, good ol' Primark has blessed me with this cheap and cheerful summer outfit! And please excuse the scuffs on my dollies, this was the first time i wore them too!

Anyway i hope you like my cute, girlie summer outfit, with a mix of lace and mint (a favourite colour of mine and the moment). The dress is so comfortable and is the perfect almost knee-length with a little underdress so you can't see my nickers - always helpful! The belts come in a pack of two with a coral colour too, perfect for summer and i can't wait to mix this dress up with different coloured accessories.

Bargain: Primark Aztec Top!

Hi lovelies! Just a quick post to show you this gorgeous top (well i think it is anyway).
And the best part about it? It's only £5 from Primark - Bargain!

As you can see the front has an amazing, bright aztec design - perfect for making a statement - and the back has a lovely lace detail which i love! It looks great with jeans, denim shorts, skirts - tucked in or left down. When i first spotted this it reminded me of a top you could get from Urban Outfitters for 4x the price; so i picked this up and never looked back...

Expect to see this in future outfit posts ;)

p.s. just wanted to say a HUGE hello to my new followers - hi guys! and thankyou to everyone that follows/comments <3

Outift: Mint Green Dream..

So i'm sure you've all heard of Drake and know who he is, right?! Me and my friend were lucky enough to get tickets about two weeks before and we had an amazing night. Drake's so passionate about what he does. Here's a few photo's if you're interested:

Anyway, enough of Drake, here's what i wore...

The dress is from Desire - i bought it from the shop but it's available here online! I'd been craving something mint green for a while and i've been loving the asymmetrical trend - so i fell in love with this dress as soon as i set eyes on it! They also do it in a pretty coral/pink colour too. And the cute bow belt comes with it - although you can change it if you like! My one fault is the thin material - you could completely see the slogan (Wanna sleepover?) on my knickers through the dress when i tried it on - so  nude underwear was a must!

I teamed it with some brown platforms which just elongated my legs. They're gorgeous but deadly - i fell on my arse basically - sooo embarrassing! They were limited edition from Miss Selfridge, so sorry guys, they're no longer available ;)

So thats it really - i kept it simple as i didn't want to take any attention away from the dress, as the title suggests, to me, it's a 'mint green dream'!

Pink pleats, Skull top & Battered Converse.

Not done an outfit post in a while, mainly because i'm always in a rush, but on wednesday i had plenty of time to whip my camera and tripod out before i went to this lovely place called college ;) This is just a good idea of what i wear to college - casual and comfy! Now the weather is pretty warm (or so it was) in england - skirts and tights are definitely my new best friends ;) Need to take a trip to Primark and stock up on many pairs of patterned tights...

Top - River Island
Skirt - H&M
Tights - Primark
Shoes - Converse
